Mother Anna and the Lineage of Light

Ahava Shalom!

On this Venus - Shabbat day, let us take a moment to reflect on our spiritual roots, on the mysteries of the Lineage of Light, and on how we are part of the Prophecy of Light.

Mother Anna, known in Aramaic and Hebrew as Hannah, a woman of faith, a woman who conceived Mother Mary through Immaculate Conception, and the grandmother of Yeshua. While not extensively mentioned in the canonical scriptures, traditions and apocryphal sources have kept her story alive, illuminating the significance of her lineage.

Mother Anna and her husband, Yehoyakim (Joachim), are a sacred presence within the Lineage of Light. The golden chain of the lineage they held was vital for the unfolding of a spiritual prophecy. Yehoyakim and Yehudit (Judith), parents of Mother Anna, were descendants of the tribe of Judah, a lineage carrying the royal blood of King David.

The tribe of Judah, in Kabbalistic traditions, is more than just a historical or genealogical note. It symbolizes leadership, royalty, and a messianic promise. The lion, representing courage, strength, and sovereignty, is its emblem. This lineage was not merely one of political rulership but of spiritual guidance, a symbol of light in times of darkness.

The Davidic line, from which Yehoyakim, Yehudit, and Mother Anna descended, carries with it a divine promise—a commitment that from this lineage, a leader would emerge to guide, enlighten, and shepherd the people. And so, it was crucial for the narrative of Yeshua, the Messiah, to hail from this line, symbolizing the fulfillment of ancient prophecies.

In the sacredness of Shabbat, as we immerse ourselves in prayers, songs, and spiritual reflection, let us remember the roles played by these powerful ancestors. Mother Mary, by virtue of her lineage and her profound faith, became the vessel for the divine light of Yeshua. Her mother, Mother Anna, through her devotion, set the stage for this divine play, embedding within Mary the sacred codes of the tribe of Judah.

It is a reminder for all of us—every family story, every lineage, has its significance. As we re-enact the Wedding Feast of Bread and Wine and light the Shabbat Candles, let us honor our ancestors, the seen and unseen forces guiding our paths. For in their stories, we find the blueprint of our spiritual DNA.

The Shabbat before the start of a new Lunar Cycle is received as very powerful. As we approach the month of Elul - Virgo, this Shabbat can prepare us to go deeply within and become emptied. As we reflected on the legacy of Mother Anna and her lineage, Elul - Virgo, the new cycle we are entering soon, is also a reminder for personal spiritual renewal, urging us to draw closer to our roots, our faith, and our purpose. This new month connects our past's profound legacies with the promises of our future.

I will be writing more about Elul and our Community Gathering, The Aramaic Magdalene Rosary Collective, on the 22nd of August, will also be an experience where we honor the new Cycle by Chanting some lines of the Song of Songs.

The letter associated with this new month is Yud, the seed, the Virgin, Virgo, receiving the seed of the Divine. And within the teachings of Gnostic Biblical and Egyptian Astrology, we are the Virgin receiving the seed from the King, as it is believed that the King, Alaha, comes closer to us than in any other month.

As the letter Yud is associated with John the Baptist, Yohanan the Baptizer, I have opened up the Novena, the 9 day devotional journey, that we experienced in Community with Yohanan the Baptizer in 2022. For those who want to experience Yohanan, the Shamanic Lunar Masculine, the Novena will be open to join until August 15. CLICK HERE.

I am also sharing the V´Ahavta: Love in Expansion Workshop that we experienced in May 2023. It is available on demand now and is a beautiful embodiment for this Shabbat day. Click Here.

May your Shabbat be filled with blessings, reflection, joy, divine union and miracles.

May we honor Mary Magdalene as Queen of Shabbat.

Sending all of you so much love.

Ahava,

Ana Otero
